An editorial brief to illustrate three articles of my choice based on the theme of music, including one to be animate into a gif; to fit a digital online platform.
Following this, I chose to illustrate the best of 2020 music album the electronic, experimental and video game.

With this piece I used an experiment beaker as a play on words to the music style, with music notions and neon colour. Which I used to create a visual pun, of a woman listening to pair of headphones side view illustration.
Final Design Electronic Editorial
When designing this piece, using the creative pun style established with the experimental editorial. I went with a design that has the appearance of a circuit board; an element associated with electronics. With the layout design of a sound board, a product used in electronic music. Both these design features shapes fit together, creating a perfect balance of visual effect.
Final Design Video Game Editorial
For this piece, I designed it to look like a retro video game set. But if you look closer at the TV, the game platform maze is shaped like music notions; keeping to the idea of a play on words pun.
To advance my design further, I animated it into a gif. With the aliens and cursor to move around on the TV display, which adds to the design; capturing the visual appeal associated with video games.
